I must say no one saw this coming! While we are still trying to get over the shocking split of WizKhalifa and Amber Rose, another Hollywood couple Jordin Sparks and Jason DeRulo have reportedly called it quits. The two were romantically linked in 2011 and confirmed their relationship in January 2012.
Sources close to Jason DeRulo, 25, and Jordin Sparks, 24, confirm their split.
The split was reportedly amicable, and the couple have decided to stay friends. In 2013, Jason released “Marry Me,” a song he wrote about Jordin and she was even in the video.
“It’s talking about how amazing it will be when I get down on one knee and it will be the greatest moment of my life,” Jason told E! in 2013 about the song. “You can’t fake anything because true love is true love, and that’s the basis of our relationship.”Yet barely a year and an engagement after, the two have called it quits.
The couple have been very open about their relationship, talking about it in interviews and posting their love on social media. Very recently on September 8, Jordin shared a pic of them working out together. Then the next day, Jason posted a photo spread form Us Weekly on his Instagram account showing his love for her!
However, on September 15 Jordin revealed that all was not well in paradise “I just wrote the saddest song of my life,” she tweeted.
In July, Jordin, spoke affectionately of the duos love for each other. She told HWL:
“Opposites attract! We are polar opposites! Her interests are different then my interests, we have similar interests in clothes so that is good. But the fact that we are so different, it allows us to be exposed to a lot more in our lives. It keeps things fun,” he told us. “I throughly enjoy being with her all the time, it just kind of works. And I agree with you, I think people should see a positive relationship in Hollywood, that isn’t something that is always there to see.”
