The Oseni family in Owa Alero, Ika North-east local government area of Delta State, were in shock last Thursday when they discovered the corpses of two of their children, David Oseni, 6, and Shedrack, 4, inside the deep-freezer, used for their ‘iced block’ business.

Lagos State To Provide Wi-Fi Services For Lagosians

I don't know the authenticity of this information but According to Channels Television, the Permanent Secretary of Lagos State’s ICT Ministry, Mrs Nike Animashaun has revealed the State’s plan of providing Wi-Fi internet connectivity to residents. According to her, the first phase of the Wi-Fi connectivity would be deployed at parks located in different parts of the state, which will include, Alausa, Ajegunle and Oshodi.

Petrol Price Can Be N40 Per Litre – IPMAN

The Chairman, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Mosimi, Ogun State, Mr. Adeleke Bada, has agreed with the former Minister of Petroleum, Prof. Tam David-West, that petroleum pump price can sell for N40 per litre. He added that this could only be possible, if the country refined all crude oil in the nation’s refineries. Bada said this in an interview with journalists shortly after the association’s Annual General Meeting in Abeokuta, the state capital. Reacting to the advice given by former Minister of Petroleum Resources, David-West, to the President-elect to reduce the pump price to N40, Bada said:

President-Elect Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday said his administration would probe the claim by a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and now the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation failed to remit $20bn oil money to the federation account. Buhari gave the hint while receiving a delegation of the All Progressives Congress elected officials and supporters from Adamawa State at his campaign office in Abuja. The President-elect, who spoke in Hausa expressed surprise that instead of probing the allegations by the former CBN governor, the Goodluck Jonathan-led Peoples Democratic Party administration chose to fire him. He stated that since Sanusi’s claim was documented, his administration would take a look at it after the May 29 handover date. Buhari said:

103 Nigerian Products Rejected Abroad –FG

The Federal Government on Thursday lamented that within the last five years, over 103 Nigerian products exported to other countries were rejected for not meeting acceptable international quality standards. The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Olusegun Aganga, stated this in Abuja while unveiling the new office complex of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria. Aganga said the high volume of rejected products was not acceptable.

A 55- year-old retired civil servant, Mr Emmanuel Osuya, has asked an Igando Customary Court, Lagos, to dissolve his 32-year-old marriage over alleged battering by his wife.

Osuya told the court on Wednesday that his wife, Abigeal Osuya, 50, had turned him into a punching bag.He said she beat him on any slight provocation.

Are there times when we you have let past hurts and failures interfere with who you really are and causes you to take on a different role? If there was any invalidation thrown at you in the form of ‘you’re not doing it right’ or ‘you’re wrong’ or ‘you’re not good enough’ it makes sense that you would try to be somebody else. When you identify with invalidation and accept it as truth you may spend a good deal of time and effort trying to fix it by becoming someone you are not and never were meant to be. Others see you and you even may see yourself in the roles you play but they are only seeing one very small part of you and what you DO is not who you are! There are even roles one takes on based on what we THINK they should be, how we should act or we become the person we think someone else wants us to be (confusing, huh? Exactly my point!)

Cholera Outbreak In Ebonyi State Leaves 20 People Dead!

20 people have been confirmed dead from a Cholera outbreak in Ebonyi state. The state Director, Public Health and Disease Control, in the Ministry of Health, Dr Chris Achi, who made this known to newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state, said seven local government areas namely Ohaukwu, Izzi, Ezza North, Ishielu, Ebonyi, Abakaliki and Ohaozara have recorded the highest number of cases.

I promised the country free and fair elections. I have kept my word. I have also expanded the space for Nigerians to participate in the democratic process. That is one legacy I will like to see endure.
Although some people have expressed mixed feelings about the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), I urge those who may feel aggrieved to follow due process based on our constitution
and our electoral laws, in seeking redress.
