Just few hours more to the proposed nationwide strike by the Nigerian Labor Congress NLC. But it has been put on hold. The National Industry Court has granted the Attorney General of the Federation order restraining the agitated labour leaders from embarking on the strike till further notice.
They had planned on kicking off strike tomorrow May 18th, if the Federal government does not revert to the old pump price of petrol and suspend the deregulation of the oil sector.
Electricity Workers Union, NUPENG, PENGASSAN and other allies have said they will not be participating if the strike eventually holds.
Meanwhile, Nigerians can now go back to their daily activities. The fear of strike has been allayed!
