Two UNIOSUN Students Go Missing, As Friends, Family Unaware Of Their Movement.

Families of two final year students of the Osun State University are in confusion over the whereabouts of their children, Robert Akinduro and Samuel Eke, who have been missing for 16 days.

It was gathered that Eke and Robert went out to meet another student and had not been found.

Eke and Robert were said to be students at the Computer Science Department at the Osogbo campus of the university.

A student of the school told Punch Metro that the missing friends left their their apartment at the Oke Baale area of Osogbo to see a computer scientist, popularly called Parise around 10,30pm on September 5 and they had not been seen afterwards.

The case was said to have been reported at the Oke Baale Police Station and Parise was reportedly invited by the police.

He reportedly said he did not know the whereabouts of the missing students. The case was said to have been transferred to the police command headquarters in Osogbo.

Some of the students told Punch that Parise had been released by the police.

The mother of one of the missing students, Mrs. Eke, told our correspondent in Osogbo on Tuesday that she would meet the university management on the issue.

She said, “I am on my way to Osogbo to see the Dean of Students Affairs, on the matter. But we have not seen him. I am praying to God on the matter.”

Akinduro’s sibling also confirmed to Punch that his brother had yet to be seen as of Tuesday.

The DSA, when contacted on the telephone, said she could not speak on the matter on the telephone.

A member of the Students’ Representative Council of UNIOSUN, Seyi Famigbayan, also told our correspondent that the two students had not been found.

The Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Mr. Femi Oyeleye, urged anyone with information to make it available to the police to help in their investigation.
