It is a sad day for Nollywood and all lovers of the good movies as Veteran film maker Amaka Igwe dies. She passed on few hours ago after loosing the battle to asthma attack in her hometown Udi in Anambra State where she went for a project. She was to head to Port Harcourt from Udi when she passed on.
Her death was first announced on twitter by Uche Jumbo and was later confirmed President of Actor Film of Nigeria Ibinabo Fiberesima. The prolific film maker responsible for sitcoms like "Fuji House of Commotion" which ran on TV for many years, Nneka the pretty Serpent, Violated etc which has been entertaining Nigerians for many decades was aged 51. She is also the owner of Top FM in Lagos.
She is survived by her Husband of 21 years, Charles Igwe, three children and her Aged mother. may her soul rest in peace. Amen!
