Photos BREAKING NEWS: Plane Carrying Late Agagu's Body Crash In Lagos.
According to reports, an Associated Airlines aircraft has crashed at the Murtala Mohammed Domestic Terminal leaving an unknown number of casualties.
Sources say the light plane, which was carrying the body of the late former governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Agagu, burst into flames with fire trucks deployed to put out the fire, 8 persons were on board which included two men and six women, one of the men was said to be Agagu’s son.The plane which was supposed to have an emergency landing but it reportedly crash-landed instead.
A witness said the crash occurred at the local wing of the airport close to the section were JET-A1, plane fuel, is stored. Fire service officials were seen evacuating the occupants of the plane.
The spokesman of the Nigeria aviation agencies, Yakubu Datti, asked for more time to get details of the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident are yet to be confirmed but we shall bring you details as we get them.
