Photos: All You Need To Know About The APC Presidential Primaries+ Buhari Said To Be Leading As Voting Ends.

Counting of votes has commenced at the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as thousands of delegates from the 36 states of the federation, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, have cast their votes.Feelers from the Teslim Balogun Stadium, the convention ground in Lagos say the battle is between former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and General Muhammadu Buhari.
The winner is expected to be declared in few hours.

However, from monitoring of the votes cast, more delegates are behind Buhari…as a matter of fact, a stampede almost occurred when he was about mounting the podium to give his speech as most of them wanted to accompany him.
A top source, told Punch newspaper, that he was willing to bet his N10m car that Buhari would win.
“All the governors have decided that Buhari is the man for the job. And we have agreed that this project is too big for us to destroy now.
“Even the PDP are afraid of Buhari. I can bet on my car that Buhari will win. The only Govenors who are not supporting Buhari are governors Rochas Okorocha(Imo) and Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), who are presidential aspirants.” he revealed.
See live updates below:
(8:45 am) Voting is finally over. Majority of the delegates are leaving, having been here since yesterday. Many leaving, are citing fatigue as their reasons

(8:50 am) One of the leading aspirants, Muhammadu Buhari leaves the venue, maybe to freshen up. He was the last candidate to leave.

(9:00 am) They are about to merge the votes together so that sorting and counting can start. The real fun is about to commence.
A quick word on the conduct of the vote, and the convention itself. Nothing was left to chance in the planning and execution, which, it must be said, has been exemplary by Nigerian standards. Asides from the lateness which is a perennial feature of Nigerian life, every other thing has gone like clockwork.
There was a little argument involving delegates from Delta State about accreditation and ballots, but it was resolved very quickly. That has been the only hiccup since yesterday. We wait patiently for counting to commence.
(9:10 am) The votes are now being combined before counting. What you see is box 14 of 52.
